Hi! We’re Rita and Nate, parents to 2 little ones and the creators of Bookestry.
Bookestry began with a simple idea: telling stories that matter most — the ones from our own families. When our daughter was two years old, Nate took a sabbatical from work. Every day, the two of them would curl up together with a stack of children’s books. Reading was their shared joy — and it sparked an idea. Nate wanted to create books just for Noelle, ones that told the stories of her own family: how her grandparents parents met, how her aunt became a champion runner, and the little moments that make a family’s history special.
The challenge? Neither of us are artists. We're fortunately in that the AI revolution had just taken off. With its help, Nate was able to turn these family stories into beautifully illustrated books. Noelle loved them. Even more than that, she started imagining stories of her own — whimsical adventures she wanted to see come alive on the page.
Seeing her excitement made us realize something: if this brought so much joy to our family, other families might feel the same. Every child deserves to see themselves, their loved ones, and their imagination in the books they read. That’s why we started Bookestry — a place where families can easily create ultra-personalized children’s books with the help of AI. Whether it’s preserving family history, celebrating milestones, or exploring a child’s wildest dreams, Bookestry makes it possible to craft stories that belong uniquely to you.
For us, it all started with bedtime stories between a dad and his daughter. For you, we hope it becomes a way to share your family’s story — and to create new ones together.
