Welcome to Bookestry (“Bookestry,” “we,” “our,” or “us”).

These Terms of Service (“Terms”) govern your use of our website, app, and related services (collectively, the “Service”).​

By using Bookestry, you agree to these Terms. If you don’t agree, please don’t use the Service.

1. Overview

Bookestry allows users to create, illustrate, and order personalized children’s books using artificial intelligence (“AI”).
You provide text or images — we generate stories, illustrations, and book designs.

These Terms explain your rights and responsibilities when using Bookestry.

2. Eligibility

You must be at least 18 years old (or the legal age in your jurisdiction) to use Bookestry.
Bookestry is intended for adults creating stories for children, not by children.

3. Your Account

You’re responsible for:

  • Keeping your login credentials secure.

  • All activity that occurs under your account.

If you believe your account has been compromised, contact us immediately at support@bookestry.com.

4. User Content

You own the text, images, and other materials (“User Content”) you provide.
By submitting User Content, you grant Bookestry a limited license to:

  • Process your inputs to generate AI-created stories and illustrations.

  • Display, print, and deliver your book or other outputs.

  • Use anonymized or aggregated data to improve our models and services (without identifying you).

You confirm that:

  • You have the right to use all materials you upload (including photos).

  • Your content does not infringe anyone’s rights or contain illegal, harmful, or explicit material.

5. Generated Content

Bookestry uses AI tools provided by OpenAI (ChatGPT) and Anthropic (Claude) to generate creative outputs (“Generated Content”) based on your inputs.

You may use, share, print, or sell your Generated Content for personal or commercial purposes, subject to the following conditions:

  • You are solely responsible for reviewing and approving all content before sharing or publishing it.

  • Generated Content may contain errors, inconsistencies, or material produced by third-party AI systems (such as OpenAI’s ChatGPT or Anthropic’s Claude).

  • You may use such content commercially in accordance with the respective terms of those AI providers.

  • Bookestry assigns to you any rights we have in the Generated Content, to the extent permitted by law.

  • You must not claim or imply that Bookestry, OpenAI, or Anthropic endorse your Generated Content or its use.

Bookestry retains the right to use anonymized examples of Generated Content for demonstration, research, or product improvement unless you opt out by emailing privacy@bookestry.com.

6. Orders, Payments, and Refunds

When you order a printed or digital book:

  • Prices are shown at checkout and include applicable taxes or shipping fees.

  • Payments are processed securely by trusted third-party providers (e.g., Stripe, PayPal).

  • All sales are final once your book is sent to print.

Refunds or replacements are available only for defective, damaged, or misprinted books.
If you experience an issue, contact support@bookestry.com within 14 days of delivery.

7. Acceptable Use

You agree not to:

  • Use the Service for illegal, obscene, or abusive purposes.

  • Upload or share copyrighted materials without permission.

  • Attempt to hack, disrupt, or reverse engineer any part of the Service.

  • Use Bookestry-generated content to mislead others or spread misinformation.

We reserve the right to suspend or terminate accounts that violate these rules.

8. Intellectual Property

All technology, website code, design, and branding are owned by Bookestry or our licensors.
You may not copy, modify, or redistribute our platform or materials except as allowed in these Terms.

9. AI and Content Disclaimer

Bookestry’s creative outputs are generated using artificial intelligence.
While we strive for quality and appropriateness:

  • AI results may contain errors, inconsistencies, or unintended content.

  • We are not responsible for any outcomes resulting from your use of Generated Content.

All content is provided “as is” without warranties of any kind.

10. Limitation of Liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law:

  • Bookestry and its affiliates are not liable for indirect, incidental, or consequential damages.

  • Our total liability for any claim related to the Service will not exceed the amount you paid us in the past 12 months.

Some jurisdictions do not allow these limitations, so they may not apply to you.

11. Termination

You may stop using Bookestry at any time.
We may suspend or terminate your access if you violate these Terms or misuse the Service.​

Upon termination, your license to use the Service and Generated Content (except your own User Content) ends immediately.

12. Privacy

Your use of Bookestry is also governed by our Privacy Policy, which explains how we collect, use, and protect your data.

13. Changes to the Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. The latest version will always be posted on our website with the date of the last revision.
If changes are significant, we’ll notify you via email or on the site before they take effect.​

Continued use of the Service after changes take effect means you accept the updated Terms.

14. Governing Law and Disputes

These Terms are governed by the laws of California, USA, without regard to conflict of law principles.
Any disputes will be resolved through binding arbitration or in small claims court in San Francisco County, unless otherwise required by law.
